Without fuss or farewell parties, the Email Report tool has quietly retired.

It was a simple, reliable feature that let administrators check a user’s training progress and send a reminder or record of completion. It served its purpose well and with quiet efficiency.

But lately, it’s been slowing down. Other tools have gradually taken on its responsibilities, offering newer, more flexible ways to do the same work. And so now, without fanfare, the Email Report tool has chosen to retire, its role now carried forward with care by the:

• Your Portal’s Manager Dashboard – Training Reminder feature
  Use the Send Reminder feature in your Portal’s Manager Dashboard to communicate with individual users or groups regarding their training progress.
   
• The Learning Management System (LMS) – Send Email feature
  Use the Send Email feature within the LMS to communicate with individual users or groups.

These tools offer the same capabilities and more such as greater flexibility, better targeting, and a smoother experience all round. And they’re keen as mustard to prove they’re up to the task.

Don’t worry though, the Email Report is out there somewhere enjoying retired life. Gardening, reading, playing golf, learning how to paint… honestly, we’re not quite sure what it’s up to, but we’ve been told that it’s happily living the quiet life.
