Adaptics individualises and shortens a Learning Activity, which then reduces the time taken to complete the course.
When a learner starts a compatible course with Adaptics activated, they will be given a short pre-assessment for each topic in the course. For each pre-assessment they pass, that section (topic) will be marked as complete i.e. if they already know something, they will not have to learn it again.
In this release, updates have been introduced against the learning activities under Assignable Learning Activities for Site Administrators to enable Adaptics for supported learning activities. When enabled, you can choose when you want Adaptics to be activated, on “First attempt” where users will see the Adaptics pre-assessment from their first time attempting the learning activity or on “Subsequent attempt” where Adaptics pre-assessment will appear only after the user has completed the course once before and has been reset.
