We’re excited to introduce improvements to the Reporting Dashboard in Learnforce. The new pagination and a dynamic keyword search features are designed to simplify your workflows and improve your reporting experience.

Our latest enhancements are designed to provide a smoother, faster, and more user-friendly experience in the Reporting dashboard. These changes simplify report management, making it easier to navigate the dashboard and search for reports. Here is a summary of these improvements:

  1. Flexible Pagination Controls: Select the number of results that can display per page. Then, click between pages with the new Paginator.

Provided below is a more detailed explanation of these changes.

1. Flexible Pagination Controls

Pagination makes it easy to navigate large report lists, which is why we’ve added it to the following Reporting Dashboard tabs:

  • My Reports
  • All Reports
  • Shared Reports

When using the pagination feature, you can:

  • Choose whether to view 20, 50, or 100 reports per page, with 20 set as the default.
  • Effortlessly navigate using the First, Last, Previous, Next, and page number buttons.
NOTE

The pagination options appear when the total number of reports exceed the selected page size.

2. Precision Sorting

The Reporting dashboard’s sorting and pagination features collaborate so that you can find and organise reports faster. Here’s how they work together:

  • The pagination controls are available when the sort results exceed the selected page size.
  • The page retains your sort settings when you use the context menu to duplicate, schedule, or delete a report in the list.
  • Your sorting preferences are applied to all pages, so that the right results appear as you navigate between pages.
NOTE

By default, the results are sorted by Report Name in ascending (A to Z) order. You can click on a column’s heading or arrow to sort the results by that category; this also allows you to sort them in ascending or descending (Z to A) order.

Secondary sorting enables duplicate result values to be automatically organised based on:

  • Report Name → Report Type → Last Modified Date
  • Report Type → Report Name → Last Modified Date
  • Owner → Report Name → Report Type → Last Modified Date
  • Last Modified Date → Report Name → Report Type → Owner

3. Dynamic Search Functionality

Use the new keyword Search bar to quickly find the reports you need. For example, you enter Con in the Search bar, and the following results are returned:

  • Report Type: "Consolidated Training Report"
  • Report Name: "Consolidated Reporting Functions"
  • Report Owner: "Constance"
  • Schedule Owner: "Conrad"

When using the Search bar:

  • Results update dynamically as you type – starting with just one character.
  • The system will match your keyword to results found within the Report Type, Report Name, Report Owner, and Schedule Owner columns.
  • Keywords are retained when navigating between result pages and after duplicating, scheduling, or deleting a report via the context menu.
  • You can clear the search field to return every result for that tab.
