New cybersecurity course from DEfactoED
DEfactoED have released their new ‘Cybersecurity - a real world perspective’ course, supporting corporates to build digital capability.
Cybercrime (crimes involving computers and systems and the data held on them) is a major threat to our world. Every day we hear of cyberattacks and we think that it’s a technology problem. The reality is that cybersecurity (protections against these crimes) requires a human response as much as a technical one. This course offers some very practical suggestions on the behaviours needed to protect ourselves and our organizations against cybercrime.
Using premium video delivery, Professor Alan Woodward, a specialist cybersecurity computer scientist, takes us through each of the 7 Deadly Sins...that can lead us to do something online that we shouldn’t.
The course is suitable for everyone working in an organisation. This course is designed to help you make more sense of Cybersecurity threats, and better understand how to protect yourself – or your organisation – against them.
After completing this course, you will have improved your understanding of cybercrime and the behaviours needed to mitigate the risks. You will:
- Understand the significance and the impact of cyber crime
- Improve their understanding of the different types of cyber risk
- Understand how to identify a cyber attack
- Understand how to avoid becoming a victim of cybercrime.
