Site Administrators and users with Learning Management administrator permissions can access the new batch tool from under the product menu. The new batch tool will allow you to upload a spreadsheet to process bulk data changes in the platform. Initially the new batch tool will include the account creation batch.   Account creation batch will allow you to create up to 1000 accounts at a time, by just uploading a spreadsheet of user information from your internal systems such as HRIS or active directory. 

We have made the batch process as simple as possible, which includes three simple steps to batch create the users. The steps allow you to map the columns in the spreadsheet to the fields in the system, and to review all errors before the data is processed and the users created.

The following features will be available in the Batch Tool:

• Downloadable template to define default columns of information needed.
• Viewable site validations to see what fields are mandatory.
• Give your batch a name to easily identify it later.
• Option to execute training automation when the batch is processed.
• Automapping of column headings to account fields if a match is found.
• Data preview on mapping screen.
• Up to 5 groups and roles can be added to an account during creation.
• Skip unmapped columns with unnecessary data to proceed with the batch.
• Validation step checks that all fields for accounts meet the requirements before processing.
• Data preview with error rows highlighted and option to also view correct rows.
• Different error messages shown depending on the validation error of the field.
• Downloadable error rows option will list account data with validation errors.
• Ability to skip error rows and proceed to batch in accounts that do not have errors.
• Submitted batch is added to global queue or if no batch is processing globally, it will begin processing straight away.
• A dashboard where all previously completed batches can be seen and downloaded.
